‘It caught up with me’: In midst of recent online drama, Doja Cat makes vulnerable admission about borderline personality disorder

The 30-year-old hitmaker admits she’s been “struggling” with the disorder for a “long time.”

Doja Cat’s borderline personality disorder (BPD) is yet another example of a celebrity having a mental disease.

She seems to have it under control as she rants about Chappell Roan, though. She has come a mighty long way from “Moo” to now. A global superstar, Doja is handling her disorder with grace.

In the time since she first burst onto the Internet scene, she has amassed platinum certifications and taken over for rapper/singer statuses.

What makes this such crushing news is that it actually seems to empower and motivate her. She has the power to guide herself into new territories of fame and stardom.

In a world where people cloutchase and sometimes cross the line, Doja has disdain for people who run up to her to sign objects and use such items to flip on the web for profit.

The power she has shown in her speech promoting her own BPD is a testament to herself.

She has shown that the paparazzi can fly a kite. She is for people who take advantage of her. She gets it. The artist, she holds, is viewed as mean or ungrateful because they walk past resellers brusquely.

In the future, she hopes that she can reconcile with the paps and resellers who aim to get their hustle up. She respects that grind but goddamn if she doesn’t like it.

Her mental health is paramount and it is a matter of territory that the men and women who are afflicted with BPD and other disorders receive attention for their conditions.

If Doja is supposed to be a woman who knows herself and can display her best self, she must hold greed and selfishness as virtues. They must be tantamount to being good stewards over time and money.

What she ought to do is bring herself to a point where she can flourish. With a world teetering on insanity itself, she is positioning herself in comfort and control. So, for her to travel down the road of acclaim and fortune, it’s a battle for someone with BPD.

She, however, seems to have it under control. She can joke and have fun on TikTok and never mind the naysayers who wish to do her harm spiritually.

Doja takes her life and well-being seriously. To consider how she came into the game is so powerful. She just put up silly memes on the Internet and racked up views. She started rapping and singing and that brought the ears and eyeballs of record executives.

Her stardom took off when she signed her first deal and things skyrocketed from there. From appearances on Saturday Night Live to being saluted by Nas, albeit backhandedly, she found herself propelled onto the world stage with her playful, coy demeanor.

BPD may not require her to take prescribed drugs, but she might want to do so. Sometimes the right cocktail might even be a formula for all that ails her. She seems lucid in recent video posts. The camera loves her. She soaks up so much of the atmosphere that it’s difficult to look away from her. Her mind is always working, always calculating. That’s the best part; she knows what she’s doing.

If she is able to distinguish the facts from the lies, actual supporters to those who camp out and wait at airports and hotels to get a glimpse of her in person, to sign things to go on Ebay, she will prosper.

What she most likely will do is show everyone that BPD isn’t a mental death sentence but a diagnosed mental illness. If she is wise, she will demonstrate the importance of being truthful.
