Autumn Leaf
A yellow leaf’s final song in shades of gold

Gently it descends, dancing in the breeze,
A quiet melody, whispering tales of peace.
An old memory of a springtime long gone,
Whispers of a past summer’s tender song.
One final dance, as a sunbeam embraces,
Knowing its path to the earth quickly races.
In tender colors, with sorrow’s soft gleam,
The yellow leaf dreams in autumn’s serene.
In silent descent, through golden stars, it drifts,
Telling of past dreams, now lingering in mists.
I carry it within, that fading moment of bliss,
That little yellow leaf, a warmth I won’t miss.
