Empty

Nothing

It arrived the other day

Just sitting there in the middle of the room

Wasn't sure what to do about it

Something not quite right

It was a strange sight

Nobody could understand my plight

I wondered how long it would remain

Or if it could cause further pain

Maybe it was just something plain

Didn't seem like there was much to gain

Lying on the middle of the floor wasn't sure if it would call

Thinking about it but had no idea at all

Wondering if it would open up

Never sure if it would be enough

Maybe there will be more

Wondering if it was controlled by some law

It just sat there like there were plenty more

Unsure of it's future that's for sure

Didn't seem to be seeking applause

It was existing without cause

Time it had a plenty

It was just lying there empty
