I've Lost

I'm done

I'm done trying.

Apologies

Crawling on my knees

Smiling through the freeze

out between us

calmly bending with no fuss

getting nowhere fast

how long can I last

at this pace?

Flat on my face

asking for grace

looking you in the eye

eating humble pie

atoning for wrongs

long gone

still trying trying trying

to hold on to

you.

to something real

while losing touch- my feel

for the situation

losing the plot

but I'm not

Am I?

Have I already lost?

paid the cost?

Are we now through?

Have I lost

have I really

finally

forever

lost you?

Yes.

I am done.

sad poetry

It's a hard realization when it finally hits. But when it does, you just KNOW it's right. Great work.

So very sad. But a great poem, Judy.

Too relatable. The rhymes feel like they came too easily. Hope you're alright <3
