I Was Healing My Soul

When I spent time in solitude in the garden

On this Sunday morning,

I was sitting in the backyard,

soaking my skin in sunlight,

basking in the fragrance of jasmine,

listening to the chorus of birds,

finches, sparrows, and swallows,

watching the vibrant flowers,

nasturtiums, sunflowers,

the hanging guavas,

I munched on some peas and spring onions.

I lingered there for quite some time,

in solitude,

with just the flora and fauna around me.

I was not wasting time,

I was healing my soul,

brutally, carelessly bruised by society.

The divine ambiance

was nullifying harms of human nuisance.

If you are hurt too,

and looking for balm,

in ugly society, some calm,

turn to nature,

it will help sure.
