Perfect dream

Hope you'll have sweet dreams too, I really hope you do.

Perfect dream

Do you ever sleep
And in a dream see
Something your heart wants so deep
That you hope is meant to be?

I'm used to a nightmare
That makes me wanna scream,
But what to do with a dream
That makes me wanna be there?

I wake up in the morning
Just to want to sleep again,
Maybe if I am dreaming
I'll see the life I want then.

It was so beautiful,
It was so magical,
It was the perfect future
I couldn't even picture.

It was what I won't dare,
I won't dare to hope,
I shouldn't even care
For such a beautiful trope.

And yet I still care,
Gets me out of air,
Thinking of that ideal,
Thinking it could be real.

Now I will try to sleep again,
Maybe I'll have the same dream then,
Maybe if I dream it enough,
It would become the real stuff.

Sweet dreams and good night!
I hope I am right,
Hope you'll have sweet dreams too,
I really hope you do.
