Tears Are Merely Words

lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 9 hours ago 1 min read

Verse 1

In the silence of the night, I hear your heart call,

Whispers of emotions that you can’t recall.

Each drop on the pillow tells a story untold,

A book that’s waiting for the brave and the bold.

Pre-Chorus

So let them fall, let them flow like a stream,

Each tear is a message, a lost, broken dream.

Put pen to the paper, let your heart guide the way,

For in every tear drop, there’s a truth to say.

Chorus

Tears are merely words that need to be written,

A language of the soul that the heart is feelin'

So pour out what you hold inside,

Let the ink dance upon the page, baby, don't let it hide

Tears are merely words that need to be written

Verse 2

In the deep of the night where thoughts run deep

Lies sorrow that lingers making it hard to sleep.

But in every aching heartbeat, there’s a strength to be found,

Let The rhythm of the chaos be your healing sound

Bridge

So, baby, pick up your pen, let your truth set you free,

Each tear that you cry only guides you home to me

So drown your doubts in words; let your story carry on

For in every tear you shed, you'll find solace in your song

Chorus

Tears are merely words that need to be written,

A language of the soul that the heart is feelin'

So pour out what you hold inside,

Let the ink dance upon the page, baby, don't let it hide

Tears are merely words that need to be written
