The Garden Gift
I am grateful for this blessing

I never wanted loud gifts,
but something that feeds my soul.
So, I had told my spouse,
save every penny
and help me get a space,
I want to grow plants,
to harvest herbs, to share surplus,
to see bee and birds.
Please, take this seriously.
I don’t need other gifts.
It was a long wait
in costly times, with little savings.
But it came.
And see what I made,
Just like I had dreamed!
Flowers bloom year-round,
pollinators come,
birds hold concerts,
my kids giggle,
as they ride circles.
I sip my tea peacefully
and draft my thoughts.
It’s a mighty gift
I am thankful for,
every single day.

Thanks for everything.
It's the kinda gift that keeps giving. Loved your photo and poem!
Very relaxing and healthy environment to write in. My own garden is still mostly dirt, but still better than inside!
