Beaming, glowing, delighted eyes

Merriment and mirth falling all around

Bubbles gliding, dancing, swaying

Gentle breeze blowing lowering the heat

My heart racing and pounding

Fluttering lashes moving in

Lips anticipating the first kiss

A rush of hope and joy fills me

You pull away ever so slowly

Then I move inward towards you

It’s a vertical dance

Of coming back

Leaving only to move in again

I imagine being with you

Dancing like this forever

Kissing and turning away

Turning towards and kissing again

Breaking from the process

Needing air and water

Always coming back together

To experience love, laughter, elation

love poems

About the Creator

Lisa Pulliam

I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
