Cora was tired; she sacrificed enough time to earn her retirement and live a life with Celeste that they had been wishing for all those years prior. We started early in the decorated car waded through all the parties and formalities and reached home by 10.30 pm. We were famished and tired but friends and relatives were waiting at the house. All those who couldn't attend the four parties were here now. We had to keep company and smile and entertain the relatives who left soon and by 11.30 pm we were left with our friends and cousins only. They too were tired after the ordeal and had been tagged with us. Someone played old Hindi remix songs and soon everyone was dancing to it. We were invited but we declined finally, we were pulled into it. Sajith, my cousin's brother refreshed us with Pepsi and we gulped it thankfully.
