As Apple Blossoms Bloom

A poem and a song

By Rasma RaistersPublished about 8 hours ago 1 min read

The time in spring,

that brings golden memories,

is when apple blossoms bloom.

Pink and white flowers,

upon my apple tree,

where songbirds of spring,

now sing symphonies.

It was there that you found me,

in this apple blossom fantasy,

the spring you came into my life.

Other springs came and went,

apple blossom time was special,

with each kiss our love grew

and the day you said, "I love you"—

my heart began to sing.

*

So apple blossom time came and went,

each spring renewing our love,

days of spring breezes

and sweet kisses shared,

as white and pink apple blossoms,

swirled all around us –

like fragrant snowflakes in the springtime.

Long will this apple blossom time,

stay in my memories

and when and if I find such apple blossoms again,

as the blossoms come drifting down,

I will imagine you stepping out before me—

like a fantasy from a time so very, very long ago…
