When you’re addicted, it’s not about the substance or about enjoying or savoring it. In fact, you’ll never have enough of it because it’s about the act of consumption. When you are in the act of consumption, you are in the act of doing something. Having something to do so that you are distracted from reality and the present moment because when you're doing something you are taking some kind of action that is taking up your focus.

Living Life as an Addict
I started at a young age using just like many other people I grew up with. I was considered "dirt" in high school. Ditched school, smoking, drinking, and drugs. But it always fathomed me how all the other "jocks, cheerleaders" all did it too But since they were in sports and doing things in school they just got away with it. But this is about me not them. But I do know that some of those so-called goodie goodies also grew up addicts too.
