Frenkie de Jong, a Future Star in the Making
The name Frenkie de Jong may not sound familiar for most people. The Eredivisie (Dutch 1st division) is not a highly televised league like the Premier League or La Liga, but it’s a league with lots of young talent. One of them is de Jong. The young Ajax midfielder has been displaying his passing and dribbling abilities for the past 2 seasons but really came to his own during the 2017-18 season. Last year, he had the best passing accuracy and dribble success rate in the Eredivisie with 91.5 percent and 90.3 percent respectively and that was while playing as a centre-back in a 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 system during a large part of the season.

The Choices to Clear Up Your Skin
I have always struggled with a spot (sometimes dozens) here and there. There was a specific time in my life where my life felt broken, my skin was oily, I was breaking out plus a lot of drama arose. My confidence was low and I wanted to sort my skin out, I bought all the 'popular' and 'best' products on the market. Three different cleansers, two different face creams, some serum and so many face masks that to be honest, I did not even understand what they did. My skin got dry, and when I say dry I mean to the point at which my skin was peeling (I know, it's gross). For ages, I thought that this must be normal and it will probably get better. I saw all these online influencers and celebrities using the same products as me and their skin was glowing. How come it did not work for me? I kept persisting, I bought more products, slowly aggravating my skin more and more, in no way helping myself out. There came to a point where all my products ran out and so did my money. I stopped clogging my skin up with products.

If you are unfamiliar with the term "culture shock," in brief it means the mental (and sometimes physical) reaction you feel against a new place unknown to you. For instance, you have never traveled to Thailand before and, like me, you decide to pack up all you own into one large bag and move there—selling one's car and using the proceeds to fund the unconventional decision. After arriving in the new place, seeing the new sights, sensing the incredible (and some rank) smells... the once lovely "newness" of the place begins to overwhelm you. Now, the sights irritate you, the smells make you sick, and the clamour of people speaking a language you don't know in environments which are completely foreign to you make you angry. Is this rational? Of course not. Is this avoidable? Well, probably not for most people; who knows, there could be a rare exception. Will the initial love and joy return? YES!
